$100 1864 Confederate T-65 LUCY PICKENS + GEORGE WYTHE RANDOLPH GREAT COLOR VF

+

At center on this popular T-65 is a portrait of Lucy Holcombe Pickens, famous South Carolinian socialite and First Lady of South Carolina. At left is a vignette of two Confederate soldiers while the bust of George Wythe Randolph, Secretary of War, is pictured at the right. A partial red CSA Treasury stamp appears at upper right on the back of this example that has a few edge splits/ nicks and exactly eight small pinholes that become visible when the note is backlit, but otherwise blend into the design which makes them difficult to discern. The color remains pleasing with dark signatures still present.
