$50 1864 Confederate T-66 ULTRA- RARE MISMATCHED SERIAL NUMBER ERROR PMG VF 25

+

Not a typical Jefferson Davis note as it offers an unusual and exciting MISMATCH SERIAL NUMBER ERROR on a CONFEDERATE! The left serial numbers are only four digits: 2132, while the right serial number offers a five-digit display of: 12132.

As the industry's leader in US Paper Money Errors, we likely handle more mismatch serial numbers than any other firm around the world; therefore, when we say a mismatch is exciting--we really mean it! Whether you're an error collector looking to expand your examples, a Confederate collector that finally has an opportunity to add an error note within your realm, or a collector that has an appreciation for the unsual and exciting--this note is destined to please. This is the only example of a mismatch serial number on a Confederate we have had in the last decade; compared to the 16 examples of mismatch serial numbers listed on our website at the time of writing. To add to the rarity, Heritage Auctions is cited having sold only five  Confederates with Mismatch Serial Numbers...with this one having never crossed their auction block.

Comment of 'minor rust' appears on the back of the holder.
