Coal Recovered from the RMS Titanic

April 15, 1912...

A Timeless Treasure from a Devastating Disaster

The Titanic was equipped with three main engines which consumed an average of 35 tons of coal per hour. After the ship struck the iceberg in 1912, it laid untouched for 73 years before it was discovered in 1985. The coal was later found from the engine room in 1994, but further expeditions resulted in severe damage to the ship and as a result UNESCO put it under world heritage site protections.

Authenticated by CAG/ NGC:

Each piece of coal has been encapsulated in a floating display with the CAG/ NGC label reading "Coal Recovered From Boiler Of RMS Titanic." Each piece also includes an informative and double-sided Certificate of Authenticity that shares a brief story of these sunken artifacts.
