Bladon Springs, AL- Postmaster at Bladon Springs (D. Partridge) 25¢ May 1, 1862 Rosene 19-UNL PMG Very Good 10.
An interesting postmaster issue from Bladon Springs, Alabama. This note was redeemable in Confederate funds when presented in multiples of $5, but could be used to purchase postage or postage stamps. The note has a simple passenger train vignette and is signed by Benjamin Partridge, son of the Postmaster, Daniel Partridge. This denomination is not listed in the Rosene reference. PMG has noted some tears and repairs.
