Identified by PMG as a "Wet Ink Transfer Error" this partial back to face offset on an early Federal Reserve Note is exciting; however, what makes this piece so exceptional is that it was identified as an erorr within the BEP and flagged for destruction! The red and white striped BEP Rejection Tag is positioned in the upper right corner which means an inspector identified the mistake, yet adding to the exciting history of this piece, it still managed to escape! Equally as impressive, it has been preserved entirely free of any handling and has pleasing margins. Cool is an understatement on this piece!
