$10 1929 Peoples NB of Wellsville, OH Ch# 6345 FINEST KNOWN PMG Ch Unc 64EPQ

+

Of the more than 12,000 banks that issued currency under this system, only 648 of them were Ohio National Banks, from Ada to Zanesville. What's more, only about 25,000 Ohio National Bank Notes have been reported within currency circles. While the most common Series 1929 notes in circulated grades are available for around $100, the most expensive notes can be worth tens of thousands of dollars.

This is a better Columbiana County bank that fell to the Great Depression in 1932, with almost an equal number of large and small size notes reported in the latest census at just over two dozen pieces each. This is the FINEST KNOWN with the previous record holder, a PMG 63EPQ, selling for $1020 at Heritage in 2018.
