For the 200th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution, designer Patricia Lewis Verani created this Silver Dollar that commemorates both the historical document itself and hte personal freedoms it bestows upon all Americans. A quill pen, a sheaf of paper and the words, "We The People" are depicted on the obverse. Thirteen stars represents the colonies and the reverse portrays a cros-section of Americans from various periods representing contrasting lifestyles. The coin is dual dated 1787-1987. It's positioned within a rigid cardboard display.
