Bank of Michigan--Remainder
Marshall, Michigan
A lovely remainder, this $1 includes several attractive vignettes including a dog's head. This bank operated from 1862-65. On Aug. 11, 1865 it became the National Bank of Michigan, charter number 1518. The bank was liquidated on May 14, 1880. This note does have comments of "previously mounted" and any evidence of such is quite difficult to locate.
