This handsome high denomination possesses many qualities found on AU examples, including bright paper and bold inks. This had likely been displayed in a previous lifetime which accounts for the single pinhole that barely peeks out when the note is backlit. Also in a former lifetime, this note encountered a small tear above McKinley's portrait which has since been sealed. Just like many of today's celebrities, this note has had a little cosmetic work to improve its overall aesthetic, and offer a collector a great value on a great looking five hundred dollar bill.
