$5 1995 FRN
Missing Magnetic Ink
Magnetic and non-magnetic inks are used in the printing of US currency. Each denomination has a different face and, therefore, a different magnetic signature. Similar to a bar code reader, the machines recognize the denomination by its magnetic signature. This note failed to receive the magnetic portion of its ink. These aren't something that come into our inventory often, and we're excited we just picked this one up!
