New Series 9-18 with signatures from Chittenden and Spinner A rare variety of the early 1862-1863 $20 Legal Tenders. The note has great color and paper quality along with a comment of minor restoration, which we have yet to identify. Definitely a desirable note with only 15 serial numbers recorded. This is amongst the highest grade reported for this type...with nothing above a 40 slabbed by either service.

The last public sale of a VF was Nov. 2023 when Stacks Bowers sold a PMG VF 20 for $5040. Before that there's record of Heritage selling a PMG VF 30 with soiling for $6346.
