$2 1917 Legal Tender Fr. 60m PEARL BRACELET MULE Cheap Large Size Deuce Fine
This Series 1917 $2 Legal Tender Note, Fr. 60m, combines the distinctive “Pearl Bracelet” design with the added interest of a mule variety. Thomas Jefferson’s portrait appears at left beside a central vignette of the U.S. Capitol, accented by a red Treasury seal and red serial numbers. Ornate green engraving fills the reverse.
Offered in Fine condition with splits and nicks along the top margin, as shown in the photographs, this circulated example is priced affordably to reflect those condition issues. Please review the images carefully when considering the note.
The mule designation identifies a Speelman–White face paired with an older John Burke-era back plate. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing continued using serviceable older plates after Treasury leadership changed, creating this collectible combination. That production history adds interest to the familiar design, making this an economical opportunity for collectors of Legal Tender Notes, historic $2 bills, or large-size mule varieties.
