$2 1917 Legal Tender Fr. 60 PEARL BRACELET Cheap Large Size Deuce VF
This Series 1917 $2 Legal Tender Note, Fr. 60, features Thomas Jefferson’s portrait at left and the U.S. Capitol at center, complemented by a red Treasury seal and red serial numbers. The intricate green reverse gives this popular large-size deuce its “Pearl Bracelet” nickname. Bearing the Speelman–White signatures, it combines presidential portraiture, national architecture, and elaborate engraving.
Offered in Very Fine condition with the upper-left and lower-left corners removed, as shown in the photographs, this example is priced at a substantial discount to reflect those losses. The printed design remains entirely unaffected, offering collectors a significant price advantage for a relatively minor visual compromise.
As a United States Note, it represents the federal legal tender tradition established during the Civil War and continued into the twentieth century. An economical opportunity to enjoy the artistry and history of the Pearl Bracelet design or fill a place in a large-size type collection.
