$10 1988-A FRN MAJOR MISALIGNED FACE PRINTING ERROR 2 Notes + Serials + Seals Shifted! Chaos!! PMG Gem Unc 66EPQ

An exotic error that's destined to be appreciated even in an advanced error collection. This major misalignment error is absolute chaos on the face while the back is positioned seemingly perfectly with no alignment or printing flaws. Although it might be easy to quickly label this as a "misaligned overprint" or a "shift of the serials and seals" a closer look allows us to realize those overprint elements are actually printed correctly; the problem happened before they were applied. So, if the back (first printing) is correct and the overprint (third printing) is correct we need to take a closer look at the second (face) printing.

As we can see, the sheet was misaligned before receiving the second printing so there is no left margin and extending well-beyond the oversized margin on the right we have a signficant portion of the adjacent note.
