This piece is an utterly pristine $50 Specimen from the Kansas City district. This example bears the ladder serial number ascending 2-9.....J23456789A.

The red "SPECIMEN" appears twice vertically on the face and twice horizontally on the back. PMG has graded only three $50 Specimens for the 1974 Series, which are on the districts of D, F, and J.  This is the highest graded of the three.

This exact note last crossed the public auction block in October 2022 where it sold for $5280 in a Heritage sale. We're pleased to offer it for less, today.
