Only large size notes were issued by this low charter number New York City bank, which commenced business in 1863 and folded in 1897. Dark inks and legible signatures add to the appeal of this well margined and colorful Original Series Lazy Deuce. PMG mentions small tear in left margin and a few flecks of rust on the back which seem a bit trivial for the grade--particularly because most notes graded Ch Fine 15 don't look this nice. Would it be wrong for this to be in a 20 holder? I don't think so, but if were recent sales for a repaired and restored 20 with a lesser look exceeded $4k, so enjoy this one a bit cheaper with a more attractive appearance. A perfect type note for a collector that's been waiting for an attractive and affordable Lazy Deuce to enter the market.
