An obvious mistake easily appreciated by longtime enthusiasts and novice collectors; yet readily identifiable to those with little to no numismatic experience!
This is a dramatic example of a misaligned overprint error that not only resulted in the serials and seals in the wrong place; the left side is also dramatically skewed. Additonally, not only is the overprint misaligned; it's incomplete. The prefix of the lower left serial never made it onto the page thanks to a couple folds elsewhere in the sheet that were responsible for this error! Incomplete serial numbers, misplaced seals, and only 2.5 of the 4 district designators are present!
There is a single fold in the note that likely occurred during its time at the BEP which is responsible for grade. We're beyond thrilled to offer such an exciting error note!
