$1 1899 Silver Certificate Fr. 229 BLACK EAGLE Early with Vernon- McClung sigs Cheap Fine

A cheap example of an early Black Eagle that features the sought-after signature combination of Vernon and McClung.  Please note this is priced so cheaply as there are areas of internal splits which isn't uncommon to be found on circulated notes. The flaws are well-hidden and only present when the note is backlit, but otherwise are unable to be detecetd. Cheap and iconic.
