$1 BEP Currency Label Set – A Unique Piece of U.S. Currency History

This $1 BEP Label Set includes two authentic labels from a “brick” of U.S. currency—the standard way money is packaged and shipped from the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) to Federal Reserve Banks.

A brick contains 4,000 $1 bills, made up of 4 mini-bricks of 1,000 notes each. Each mini-brick is bundled into 10 packs of 100 notes. These labels document important details like the serial number of the first note, denomination, series, type of note, and Federal Reserve Bank information.

Older labels (used until 1974) listed both the first and last serial numbers; modern labels list only the first. Some labels come from the newer COPE-PAK system, which uses machine-readable and scannable labels for improved tracking.
