Solid 8s remaing desirable and popular amongst fancy serial number collectors; however, the demand far outweighs the supply. Circulated examples sell for several thousand dollars making them out of reach for many. This set of 10 consecutive near solid 8s features nine notes with six of a kind serials and one note that has the trophy seven of a kind! Each of these notes were stored in a humid environment and as a result endured some foxing. Fortunately, the note with serial 88188888 has only a faint spot in the margin which is easily overloked. A cheap set with spectacular serials that received a beyond generous discount for a minor inconvenience.
