$1 1995 ENORMOUS HORIZONTAL GUTTER FOLD ERROR + SOLVENT SMEAR with MISALIGNED OVERPRINT Ch AU

Wow! It's tough to fit this many mistakes onto a single note! Let's start from the beginning....this note received normal and as-intended impressions of both the first (back) and second (face) printings before pleating prior to the overprint. The pleats in the paper created and enormous gutter fold which resulted in the district seal being separated into two sections with a giant space between them. Additionally, the lower left serial numb and district designator along with the green treasury seal and both of the district designators on the right side are much lower than intended. As an exceptional and exciting feature, this note remained pleated during the cutting process which resulted in not only an extra-wide bottom margin, but more impressively, a portion of the adjacent note can be seen on both sides! When it comes to recent error acquisitions, this one is amongst our favorite!
