Always popular amongst collectors is the Martha Washington Ace. She comes with several varieties of different seals, back designs, and signature combinations, but this note seems to check all the right boxes as it has the iconic Large Brown Seal with the Rosecrans- Houston signature combo, and the desirable Ornate Back. On February 4, 2025, Heritage placed this exact Friedberg number that was housed in a PMG VF 20 (the lowest available grade for Very Fine examples) to a collector for $810. This note seems to be right on the fence of a 15 or a 20, but as the inks are bold, we wouldn't be shocked if it found itself in a Very Fine encapsulation one day. Here's a great opportunity for a collector to secure a note that's free of any rips, writing, pinholes, or objectionable flaws that many come with for an absolute bargain! We know it won't be around long so waiting seems foolish because once it goes in a holder, the price has to increase.
