MATCHING  SERIAL  NUMBERS

Only twice in the history of U.S. paper money, between 1928-2008, has the Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced both $1 and $2 Federal Reserve Notes bearing the same

series year.  Despite amazing odds, we have assembled matching serial numbers for the $2 2003 and the $1 2003-A issues. While an incredible feat in general, the special notes in this offering contain identical four digit serial numbers.  Each serial begins with four zeros!

Low numbers are wildly uncommon on the two dollar denomination; very few appear at public auction, on dealers’ lists, or Internet sites.  To pair these with the one dollar denomination, from the same series year, defies logical expectations.  If the price was commensurate with the actual improbability, it would take a king’s ransom to acquire a pair.

Further compounding the magnificence of this offering is that the notes grade Gem Uncirculated by PMG and are in an expensive two-note slab. Earliest orders receive lowest serial numbers available; regrettably we cannot accommodate requests for specific numbers.

Images show multiple representative examples; however, please know this order is for one pair.
