$100 1922 Gold Certificate Fr. 1215 ERROR -- OBSTRUCTION in TREASURY SEAL VERY RARE LCGS VF 20

+
Rare doesn't adequately describe just how difficult this note is. Consider this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as $100 1922 Gold Certificate errors don't present themselves often. Enjoy this spectacular example of an attractive hundred dollar gold coin note with a noticeable obstruction in the red Treasury Seal overprint that leaves a horizontal void that spans the entire width of the seal. The note remains free of any problems or negative comments and the back remains quite vibrant with no evidence of oxidation, as many from this series fall victim to. At Executive Currency, we're please to have established ourselves as error experts within the indsutry since 1981; as such, it's an honor to serve as this note's temporary custodian before we ship it to its next owner. After nearly 50 years and five published books on the topic of US Paper Money Errors, we're quite comfortable calling this "extremely rare."
