Of the more than 12,000 banks that issued currency under this system, only 557 of them were Oklahoma National Banks, from Achille to Yukon. What's more, only about 4,000 Oklahoma National Bank Notes have been reported within currency circles. While the most common Series 1929 notes in circulated grades are available for around $100, the most expensive notes can be worth tens of thousands of dollars. This is an affordable example of a desirable hometown note. This $20 1929 is from The First National Bank and Trust Company of Oklahoma City, OK identified by Charter #4862. As you can see in the images, this note spent some time trading hands and picked up a few small splits along some of the fold lines. As always, please study the images to determine whether or not this OKC NBN would be an ideal addition to your collection.
