$20 1929 The Second National Bank of Cooperstown, NY BASEBALL HALL OF FAME Ch# 223 Very Fine

+
Of the more than 12,000 banks that issued currency under this system, only 901 of them were New York National Banks, from Adams to Yonkers. What's more, only about 40,000 New York National Bank Notes have been reported within currency circles. While the most common Series 1929 notes in circulated grades are available for around $100, the most expensive notes can be worth tens of thousands of dollars. This particular example is from The Second National Bank of Cooperstown, New York identified by Charter #223. It shows some evidence of spending time in commerce, but managed to escape without rips, writing, and objectionable flaws that many have. As always, please study the images to determine if this note would be an ideal addition to your collection. Although, it's hard to go wrong with any note from the Baseball Hall of Fame!
