$100 1862 Confederate T-39 Milkmaid + Locomotive Train Straight Steam PMG Ch Fine 15

his note has the popular "train" vignette with the easily visible straight steam coming out of the smokestack and a Milkmaid at left.Trains played a critical role for the Confederacy during the war, moving supplies and troops across the South. There are two interest paid stamps at Montgomery, AL in 1864 and 1865 as well as a hand-written interest paid in 1863, on the back.PMG Ch Fine 15
