$20 1906 Gold Certificate Fr. 1185 GORGEOUS COLOR Parker- Burke PCGS Ch AU 58

A stunning and far less common example of a large size gold certificate that's significantly outnumbered by the later 1922 issue. This note has exceptional eye-appeal featuring a vibrant orange back that has retained all the color from the day it was printed. As not all tellers used cash drawers, some placed banknotes on spindles which is where this note presided in a previous life. It has since been masterfully restored, but the accurate comment of repaired spindle hole appears on the back.
