These blue colored stamps were printed in honor of the 10th anniversary of NATO.
NATO was originally created to counter-act the threat of the alliance of the Eastern European Communist nations through the Warsaw Pact.
NATO started with 12 nations in 1949 and grew to include 16 more nations.
Stamp is AUTOGRAPHED by Colorado-born, American boxing professional, William Harrison, JACK DEMPSEY also known as "Kid Blackie" and "The Manassa Mauler"
Dempsy held the WORLD HEAVY WEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE from 1919 - 1926 and was known for his hard hits and aggressiveness. This reputation resulted in his popularity, many of his fights set attendance and financial records.
One of Dempsy's fights was the FIRST MILLION-DOLLAR gate.
